Where can I download the Marine Atlantic app?

The mobile app is available on the App Store and Google Play Store.

What features are available for commercial customers?

Our commercial users will have the ability to view their bookings, view the latest updates on sailing status and our schedule, access our onboard entertainment systems, and view outlet menus.

Will I receive notifications about delays or schedule changes?

Commercial passengers with prebooked or premium travel that is confirmed on a specific departure can receive delay and schedule change updates, which will be sent via SMS and email. Changes to your sailing are viewable in the app. Detailed app notifications are planned for a future update.

Is the app integrated with my DROPS portal account?

No, the app is developed as a new platform that does not integrate with the current DROPS portal.

Can I use the Marine Atlantic app onboard a ferry?

Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available at terminals. Cellular service during crossings may vary. An offline version of the app is available with limited functionality.

What onboard entertainment can I access in the Marine Atlantic app?

The app provides a direct link to stream TV shows and movies with our On-Demand service, as well as access to the PressReader app for complimentary magazines and newspapers while onboard.

How can drivers see their booking in the app?

Drivers can add their booking to their account from the “My Trips" tab, referencing their security code and booking number, which can be found on the commercial itinerary. This works for both pre-booked and open bookings. We’ve added a pending indicator in the app to highlight open bookings that are not yet confirmed for a specific departure.
