Marine Atlantic is adding additional passenger and commercial capacity this fall. Additional commercial sailings have been added to our schedule up to December 22, 2025.
Departures will occur daily:
- North Sydney, NS -> Port aux Basques, NL at 17:45 (AT)
- Port aux Basques, NL -> North Sydney, NS at 06:30 (NT)
Where applicable, restricted sailings for dangerous goods will also be moved to these sailing times, with departures at 11:45 hours changing to unrestricted passenger sailings.

Please be advised that planned system maintenance will take place beginning at 03:00 Newfoundland Time (02:30 Atlantic Time), Tuesday, November 4, 2025 and is expected to last approximately 7 hours.
During this time, several systems—including our Reservation and Terminal Management System, our Online Booking System and our Commercial Drops Portal—will be offline. As a result:
- Terminal Check-In:
- Customer check-in will be processed manually. Customers are encouraged to arrive earlier than their scheduled check-in time to allow for additional processing time.
- New bookings and booking amendments will be processed manually. Customers are encouraged to book in advance, where possible.
- Cabins:
- Customers with cabins will need to collect their keys onboard the vessel after loading, as terminal key distribution will be unavailable.
Commercial customers may notice a delay in receiving itineraries, and updates to commercial portal information may continue for several hours after the systems are back online.
