St. John’s, NL – Marine Atlantic today published its Annual Review of Activities providing an overview of the Corporation’s initiatives and financial statements for the 2020-21 fiscal year. Presentations by Marine Atlantic’s Chair of the Board of Directors, Gary O’Brien, President and CEO Murray Hupman and Vice President of Finance, Shawn Leamon, provide highlights of activities for the year and are available on the Corporation’s website.
Highlights from the year included:

- Number of Passengers: 139,988
- Number of Passenger Vehicles: 50,449
- Number of Commercial Vehicles: 89,723
- On-Time Performance: 87%

“The COVID-19 pandemic presented many challenges throughout our 2020-21 fiscal year. Together, the team at Marine Atlantic faced these challenges and successfully implemented the necessary measures to protect the health and safety of each other and customers travelling on our service, completed four regulatory dry dockings, continued progress on our fleet renewal program and moved forward with the new administration building in Port aux Basques. Customer feedback highlighted the confidence they had in our team sharing they felt safe and secure when travelling with us.
