Vessel Profile - MV Atlantic Vision

The MV Atlantic Vision joined Marine Atlantic’s fleet in 2009. With 150 cabins, numerous dining options, 200 reclining chairs and relaxing seating areas, the vessel has introduced a whole new sailing experience between Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.

When preparing to name the vessel, Marine Atlantic held a contest and invited customers and the general public to submit names that they felt would be a good representation of the strengthened service that would be offered with the addition of the new vessel. The name “Atlantic Vision” was submitted by Danielle Locke.

With its cruise ship feel, panoramic views and almost 2,500 lane metres of vehicle deck space, the vessel is the largest in Marine Atlantic’s fleet at 203 metres in length. Sailing between Port aux Basques and North Sydney for most of the year, it is also the dedicated vessel connecting Argentia and North Sydney during the summer months.
So if you are looking for a relaxing travel experience with a wide selection of available amenities, the MV Atlantic Vision may be the vessel for you. Whether you are travelling for business or pleasure, a commercial customer or a tourist, travelling to Port aux Basques or Argentia, this vessel has something for everyone. We look forward to seeing you on board in the near future.
