Marine Atlantic 2019-20 schedule and rate structure now available for booking

St. John's, NL - Marine Atlantic today released its 2019-20 schedule and rate structure for travel between April 1, 2019, and March 31, 2020.

This year's schedule will continue to see the popular overnight and morning crossings, and dedicated commercial and restricted crossings to facilitate the transport of goods to and from Newfoundland and Labrador.

Effective April 1, the following changes will be made to the tariff structure:

•    No increases to passenger fares or passenger vehicle fares (Gulf and Argentia)
•    Commercial fares will increase by 2% (Gulf and Argentia)
•    No change to the drop trailer management fee, security fee, fuel surcharge or cabins

As an arm's length Crown Corporation, Marine Atlantic makes decisions based upon its budgets and the cost of doing business. The annual budgetary process takes into consideration revenues, expenditures and cost recovery requirements which identify the rate structure for the coming year.

Commercial rates will be increasing by two per cent recognizing the fact that a significant portion of year-round operating expenses are designated to meet the specific requirements of our commercial industry.
Marine Atlantic remains committed to sustaining the improvements that have been made to its service and will continue the focus of strengthening customers' experience and value for money.

The complete 2019-20 rate structure and sailing schedule is available at www.marineatlantic.ca.
