Cancelled Sailings
Cancelled Sailings
Compensation for cancellations on the Argentia or Gulf services where passengers cannot be re-booked on a departure within 13 hours will be provided, as outlined below.
$200 Voucher
For every senior on cancelled sailings.
$200 Voucher
For every adult on cancelled sailings.
$100 Voucher
For every child on cancelled sailings.
Refunds
For lost accommodations on rescheduled sailings.
Full Refunds
For customers who choose to cancel after sailings are rescheduled.
- All vouchers are valid for one year, are non-transferrable and of no cash value. Vouchers do not cover onboard purchases including meals and accommodations.
- Customers who choose to travel on an alternate route will receive a refund if the ticket price is less expensive, or be required to pay the price difference as applicable.
- Customers who choose to cancel Argentia bookings, or change to the Gulf route, before sailings are cancelled or rescheduled by Marine Atlantic will not receive compensation.
- Customers will be issued vouchers based on impacted departures. Customers with return bookings where both travel segments are impacted will receive compensation for both.
- Customers will receive their travel vouchers by mail within approximately 6-8 weeks.
- Customers who wish to have vouchers applied to an existing booking, not exceeding the price of the booking, may contact reservations after receiving their physical voucher by mail.
- Vouchers cannot be applied at terminals or online.
Delayed Sailings
Delayed Sailings
Compensation for interruptions to the Gulf or Argentia service for sailings delayed between 5 and 13 hours will be provided, as outlined below.
$20 Meal Voucher
Per passenger.

Compensation for interruptions to the Argentia service, as well as cancellations on the gulf service, will be provided, as outlined below for premium or pre-booked services:
$200 Voucher
For every premium or pre-booked driver on cancelled sailings.
$200 Voucher
For every premium or pre-booked drop and we-load unit on cancelled sailings.
$200 Voucher
For every adult/senior passenger on cancelled Argentia sailings.
$100 Voucher
For every child passenger on cancelled Argentia sailings.
