Who is eligible to apply?
Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of Canada (as defined by Citizenship & Immigration Canada) and meet the qualifications listed on the job posting. In order to work unrestricted hours on our ferries as per Transport Canada, you must be 18 years of age or older.

How do I communicate that I require an accommodation / assistance during the selection process?
Candidates contacted for a job interview will be advised that Marine Atlantic has an accommodation policy for persons with disabilities and will be asked if they require an accommodation to participate in the interview.
What should I expect if I'm successful in the interview process?
Marine Atlantic completes a criminal record check and reference check on all successful applicants. Depending on the position, you can also expect to complete a driver’s abstract and credit bureau check. Original education documents also need to be submitted. Safety sensitive positions are subject to the provisions of our Drug and Alcohol Policy which includes pre-employment testing. We have a zero tolerance policy for alcohol, cannabis and illicit drugs.
