Schedule Impacts
A mechanical issue affecting the MV Leif Ericson’s main bow thruster developed earlier this week that will impact its schedule over the coming weeks.
The MV Leif Ericson will be operating with significantly lowered wind parameters. It will be placed in discretionary sailing mode and utilized to accommodate commercial traffic where weather and scheduling permits.
Additional sailings of the MV Atlantic Vision are being added to the schedule where possible. Scheduled restricted sailings for dangerous goods are impacted, including reductions in the number of scheduled R sailings and the RR sailing departing North Sydney moving to every other week.
Ongoing updates about sailings of the MV Leif Ericson are available via our Daily Operational Schedule emails; to sign up please email [email protected]. The commercial schedule on our website will be fully updated with the changes in the coming days, meanwhile, customers with immediate questions can call 1-800-341-7981 for more details.
The MV Leif Ericson is being scheduled for repair at a dry dock facility early this fall. Further updates will be provided as they are available.
We apologize for the disruption this may cause our commercial customers and appreciate your patience and understanding over the upcoming weeks.
