CONVENTION ON FACILITATION OF INTERNATIONAL MARITIME TRAFFIC, 1965
IMO FAL Form 7 - Dangerous Goods Manifest
- The Facilitation Committee, at its twenty-sixth session (7 to 11 September 1998), approved the draft FAL Form 8 set out in the annex to FAL.2/Circ.49, as amended, for inclusion in the Annex to the FAL Convention and circulation, after endorsement of the editorial changes by the Editorial and Technical Group (E&T Group) of the DSC Sub-Committee, encouraged the use of FAL Form 8 (Dangerous Goods Manifest) and invited comments thereon to FAL 27, if any. The DSC Sub-Committee, at its fourth session (22 to 26 February 1999), endorsed the FAL Form 8, as editorially amended by the E&T Group and set out as annex to FAL.2/Circ.51.
- The Committee, at its twenty-eighth session (30 October to 3 November 2000), agreed to delete the reference to the Multimodal Dangerous Goods Declaration as FAL Form 7 (FAL.2/Circ.48) in Appendix 1 to the FAL Convention, as this document was only relevant to commercial entities, and that the Dangerous Goods Manifest should be referred to in the Annex to the Convention as FAL Form 7. Information on this change of FAL Form numbers has been circulated by FAL.2/Circ.65.
- The Committee, at its twenty-ninth session (7 to 11 January 2002), amended the existing format of the Dangerous Goods Manifest (FAL.2/Circ.51, annex), as set out in the annex to this circular, and urged Member Governments who have not responded to the request for information on the status of implementation of the FAL Forms (FAL 29/8 - Secretariat), including the new FAL Form 7 (Dangerous Goods Manifest), to do so at their earliest convenience.
- Member Governments and international organizations are invited to bring the attached revised format of the Dangerous Goods Manifest (FAL Form 7) to the attention of all parties concerned with the transport of dangerous goods by sea.
