Properties and Observations

Yellow or orange powder. Insoluble in water. Heat may cause exothermic decomposition, producing carbon monoxide (a toxic and flammable gas) and nitrogen. May explode if involved in a fire under confined conditions. Addition of activators (e.g. zinc compounds) may result in a decrease of thermal stability and/or a change in explosive properties.
