Properties and Observations

Flammable liquid. Flashpoint: 19°C c.c. Boiling point: 108°C. Reacts with water, evolving hydrogen chloride, a corrosive gas apparent as white fumes. In the presence of moisture, corrosive to most metals. Highly toxic if swallowed, by skin contact or by inhalation. Causes burns to skin, eyes and mucous membranes.
