
What you need to know about commercial reservations online
Online bookings will be available on Monday, June 21st, via our website.
To make bookings online, you will need a company profile to access the site. Companies that already have corporate accounts with Marine Atlantic will receive an email with their company profile details on Friday, June 18th. If you have not received this email please contact 1-800-341-7981 to set up a company profile.
If any of the following conditions apply, your reservation must be made via Marine Atlantic’s toll free line at 1-800-341-7981.
o Transporting dangerous goods (including limited quantities)
o Transporting livestock
o Travelling with pets
o Vehicle/load is over 9'6" wide
o Vehicle/load's combined length is over 90 ft long
o Passengers only (no vehicle)
The following information and tips will help you with your online reservations:
- Please take the time to read each screen carefully and follow the directions. This will help avoid errors.
- An Account Settings option is available on the first screen after you login. This option allows you to update your company profile. If you would like to have your itinerary sent to another recipient (other than to one listed on your profile), you can change the email address at the Payment and Information Screen at the end of the booking process.
- The email address for your company profile can also be managed by using the edit option under the Account Settings feature on the Online Booking screen. It is not necessary to contact Marine Atlantic to change the email address. Please be sure to have designated employees accessing the online system as your Account Settings will be available for editing with the Username and Password.
- Requests for a change to the profile password are fulfilled by sending a new password to the email address on a company’s profile. Marine Atlantic is not responsible for managing passwords; companies must confirm that they have access to the email address on file to retrieve the updated password.
- Companies who have invoice accounts are set up to pay the same way when booking online. If you prefer to pay by credit card, please contact our toll-free line at 1-800-341-7981 to establish a company profile for credit card payment.
- Companies who do not have an invoice account must pay by credit card.
- Commercial bookings are one-way only.
- Itineraries are automatically generated using PDF files. PDF documents are to be viewed using Adobe Acrobat Reader version 6 or higher. To install the free Acrobat Reader, or to upgrade your existing version, go to http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
